Travel Europe in Style on a Transatlantic Cruise

Royal Caribbean Transatlantic Cruises give you the chance to experience a thrilling journey across the Atlantic to see the Canary Islands, Ireland, France, and Portugal. You will relax and unwind on a leisurely ocean voyage and enjoy the comfort and service provided on a luxury cruise ship. Even better, you get to explore Europe as well.

One of the wonderful sights you will see on the cruise is the infamous Rock of Gibraltar. Historically the Rock has proven to be an impervious defense position against enemy attacks. It was a crucial stronghold during World War II, when it served as a valuable strategic point in the protection of key shipping routes in the Mediterranean Sea.

On the cruise you will also venture to the Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago consisting of seven islands. They are to be found just off the northwestern shore of the African continent. The Canary Islands--which are named after dogs and not birds, as is often mistakenly thought--are an idyllic location for sightseeing and recreation. They are also known for having exquisite food. And on the island of Tenerife you will get a chance to see the Teide volcano, which is the third largest volcano in the world.

A visit to Ireland will grant you the opportunity to adventure into historic castles such as the Blarney Castle in Cork. There you can kiss the famous Blarney Stone itself--though whether it will grant you the gift of blarney, that’s another story. Dublin, the town made famous by such literary figures as James Joyce and William Butler Yeats, is a place rich in significant culture. Here you can find such treasures as the Book of Kells, kept at Trinity College. This ornately illustrated medieval manuscript is one of the greatest works of art to survive the Middle Ages.

The cruise will then take you to France, a country that has much to offer lovers of culture and history. You will visit architectural sights of great prominence, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Arc de Triomphe. And if you are a fan of Leonardo Da Vinci and other artists of his ilk, then you cannot miss a tour of the Louvre.

Then it’s time to relax in sunny Portugal. Here you will enjoy the charm and spectacle of Lisbon, the town built on seven hills. One of its main attractions is the Mosteiro de Jeronimos. In Portugal and France, you should also find time to partake of some of the finest wine and cuisine in Europe.

That’s just a little taste of the pleasures that are offered by Royal Caribbean Transatlantic Cruises.
