i-survive2To all my friends, all over the world, I say thank you for wanting to know about me, and how I survived the earthquake in Haiti.

I had just left my office in Sarthe, near the airport, and was driving back home listening to Haitian Rap Kreyol songs when the earthquake blasted everything around me – I had just passed Saint-Louis Gonzague School in Delmas, and I had just entered Rue Faustin Premier going toward Publin – Frere.

At first, I taught it was a bomb, I lowered the radio, I saw the house on left melted down, the car in front of me pop up like a Kangourou. I turned my head around and saw the house on my right cracked and bended down some 30 degrees. People were screaming and calling for Jesus – or yelling out loud the name of Jesus save me… They started to point fingers to each other saying I told you – The end of the world has come you must repent…!

We Haitians we are strong believers of God – of Jesus – of the Loas. Those who survived were all projecting the reasons why they survived. Most people in Haiti thinks the earthquake is an Act of God, and We the People of Haiti we are being punished by God the Father.

I do not think that God is that cruel – I do not believe that God would wants to destroy Haitians because we are big sinners.  As Vodouisant, I believe that earthquakes are just natural disasters – of course I thank the Vodou Spirit for assisting to be On Time (mwen remesye Ginen an - ke mwen te sou lè)

I strongly believe that is a question of being at the right place at the right time, because both cars, the one in front and the one back of me got hit, I survived and got home safely.

The Question is : HOW CAN A PERSON BE AT THE RIGHT TIME AT THE RIGHT PLACE?

My personal experience is to be in your feelings and stay in your feelings.

Having a feeling for every thaught and a thaught for every feeling!

Love you All
