With the Blues up 2-0 in the 1st period in Chicago, the officials took almost ten minutes to decide whether this one slipped past Manny Legace (and whether it did so legally).
Watch how long it takes Mick McGeough and Dennis LaRue to work out three relatively simple minor penalties... surely it can't be that confusing. Unfortunately, these referees had far bigger issues in this game.
A weak 2nd period fight between Eric Lindros and Barrett Jackman during the Stars vs. Blues game on March 8, 2007. Lindros picked up an extra minor for high sticking.
With a 5-4 Stars lead over the Oilers, Patrick Stefan stumbled just a few feet from an empty Edmonton goal. The Oilers took the puck the other way, and Ales Hemsky beat Marty Turco to send the game to OT. (The Stars won 6-5 in a shootout.)

This is the last three minutes of the 3rd period between the Canadiens and Blues on March 10, 2007. It was a Blues loss, but a great game and especially a great finish. The game was also the first sellout at Scottrade Center since Brett Hull night on December 5.
