Actor Ike Eisenmann on working with William Shatner in Star Trek 2 (Ike was the yeoman/ensign guy who died rather tragically) and fantastic journey, a star-trekkish cheesy sci fi show from the 1970s.
and now starship invasions starts to kick into high gear. note the outer space workout garb! The goofy sparky fingerpuppet laser pistols! and most of all, the incredibly gifted electric piano work on the soundtrack!
Actually, this is from 9/12. When the attacks happened i started recording the coverage all day long when i went to work, i've got hours and hours of this stuff. Thought i'd post some of it to remember how different things were that first week or so after the attacks.
this is from a few days later, i dont actually know the date. note the absence of a panicky news crawl along the bottom of the screen. i dont know if ABC had just decided not to do that or removed it after a few days or what.
well, i guess that says it all, really. from the extraordinarily campy 1977 movie "starship invasions." interesting trivia -- i believe this actually predated "Star Wars."
