70's Rockers ARGENT perform "Hold your head up" on USTV. Rod Argent seems to be "not there" as he whips his mop top and occasionally mumbles background vocal when convenient. Introduction by mellow fellow John Denver.
German Duo CINDY UND BERT'S version of Black Sabbaths Paranoid. The duo's video leave's no one on the German TV show "Hit's a go-go" sitting.... If that was not enough, the video features a mutt (the Hound of Baskerville?) who yawns and wags his tounge in delight!
The Zany Dr.Hook and the Medicine show perform two songs live on USTV's FLIPSIDE, "Cover of the Rolling Stone" plus the unreleased song "Bullfrog". Yeah these guys were pretty sleazy but always fun and highly Entertaining!
Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66 perform "Ye-Me-Li" & "Wichita Lineman" on USTV from 1969. The colorful stage set and swirling props add a unique atmosphere to this performance.
Frankie Laines performs his classic song "Jezebel" plus Marty Robbin's "Lord you gave me a mountain" on USTV from 1969. Frankie can barley contain his tears during this powerful classic tv performance. Performers like this don't exist these days.
French pop music master SERGE GAINSBOURG performs 2 numbers "Dent de lait, dents de loup" & " Les Succettes" with FRANCE GALL on French tv. As a Bonus Serge also performs
"Marilou". Serge is also seen in brief interview segments.
Muscle bound German Duo DEUTSCH AMERIKANISCHE FREUNDSCHAFT do the Electronica on two songs,"Greif Nach den Sternen" & "El Que". Great dance music with muscle.
The Original Masters of Japanese Pop Music, YMO Perform on Japanese TV from their special "From Tokio to Tokyo" Here the masters perform RYDEEN in it's instrumental glory. For the longest time during the 80's YMO was it for us hungry Americans wanting Japanese Pop music. I've posted one other clip from this TV special.
It's the Tommy Bolin Band Captured live by 8mm camera at the Angora Ballroon in Cleveland Ohio! Unfortunately no audio exists of these clips so an audio overdub has been added to enhance the clip. Not much footage exists of Tommys solo outings so this is a nice glimpse from the last days of one of Americas greatest guitarists.
It's "Easy Lovin" sang like never before by the greatest of Country Duos, Conway & Loretta! This is a great clip that I'm sure will please many a true fan of old time Country and Western. Loretta is looking better than ever and I'd give a million to have hair like Conways!
Two classic hits from the late JOHNNY PAYCHECK. Johnny had his troubles in life but songs like these "Don't take her she's all I got" and "Someone to give my love to" bring to mind the better things that Johnny had to contribute.
The Crispy Ambulance video "The Presence" from FAC 56. "During their short recording career, Manchester post-punk band Crispy Ambulance were unjustly dismissed as Joy Division copyists. In reality Crispy Ambulance were among the most maligned and undervalued bands of their time".... well, That may or may not be true.
