Célèbre mélodie composée par Daniel Alomía Robles en 1913 d'après un thème traditionnel péruvien du 18ème siècle. C'est Los Incas qui, les premiers popularisent ce thème en 1963. C'est également eux qui jouent derrière Simon & Garfunkel dans leur reprise de 1970. Ce morceau connaît d'innombrables versions instrumentales et chantées, et même en français (Marie Laforêt).
