I found my tinwhistle (what was lost is now found) so I decided to record a bit of a tune. I can't recall the name of the second one; it seemed to flow out of the first fairly well.
In keeping with my attempt to upload at least one video per week, I submit this. The first tune I learned many years ago - it's entitled Willie Coleman's. The second tune, "Wheels of the World" is another old tune. Tom Hastings, my teacher, modified the ending so that that the transition to the reel - "The Rainy Day" - would be smooth.
Due to its (relatively small but still too large for YouTube) size, I have had to separate this video into three clips. Featured are: Brother Jim Boynton, Father Eduardo Fernandez, and Father Greg Boyle
My soon-to-be brother-in-law were messing around with a laptop today and took this quick video at my Grandma Hagan's house. We thought it would be funny to wear our hoods (Don't ask!). The ending should be edited, but I don't have the time to do it!
For my Fordham students. This polka is played three times: once very slow, once medium, once fast. This is not a "performance piece" but, rather, a demonstration of a tune.
These are my two music students Michael and Brian. They are fabulous whistle players and I think this is one of the coolest whistle tricks. It was taken during our annual Christmas Party last December. www.ryandunssj.blogs pot.com
I've been writing a paper all day on Karl Rahner and Emmanuel Levinas. I'm tired, I'm mentally exhausted, and I still have to go to Mass for Holy Thursday! So, in order to refresh, I shot this video.
