Great Britain shock the Athletics world by winning the final by a hair's breadth as Mark Lewis-Francis holds off Maurice Greene after the USA had flunked their chances with a poor baton change.
Cram wins the gold at the inaugural World Championships in Helsinki, in front of Steve Scott & Said Aouita. Steve Ovett finishes 4th after running a poor tactical race.
The first half of Match of the Day's highlights of Liverpool's 3-0 FA Cup win over Southampton. Liverpool won 3-0 with goals from Rush, Beardsley & Nicol. Alan Shearer made an early appearance for Southampton whilst his fellow Match of the Day pundit Alan Hansen was in his last season for Liverpool.
Second half of this 1990 FA Cup tie. This was in the days when MOTD match highlights lasted 20 minutes as opposed to 5 minutes today! See elsewhere for 1st half.
Dave Palfreyman is Malfington Fortysque Stanley III in this film, devised by Richard Coyle (who also stars) and Palfreyman on a trip to the Edinburgh Festival in a battered Ford Escort in 1994.
1994 Dr Who video mix to Live & Let Die, done back in the days before digital video. Watching this, you could even be forgiven for thinking Sylvester McCoy was good!
Dr Who clips set to Geri Halliwell's "Look at Me". This was edited to a "script" of clips set out by new series Dr Who writer Gareth Roberts, for the Dr Who Magazine 20th anniversary party in 1999.
An alternative opening sequence for the 2004 BBC adaptation of "The Murder Room" done in the style of the old ITV adaptations with Richard Hartley's music. Much better than the bland BBC opening sequence (although the programme itself was excellent)
Mid 1990s video mix of Dr Who clips set to Vangelis' "To the Unknown Man". Very primitive compared to how I could do it today but it was more fun in those days hooking two VHS recorders together with a miximg desk in between!
This is another of those old Dr Who mix tapes which I've just dug out, set to a Mike Oldfield instrumental piece called "Hibernaculum". I did this in 1996 so it's probably the last one I did in the old pre-digital era. Very primitive by today's standards of course but it looked good back then.
After surviving the first match with a last minute own goal, Liverpool overrun Blackburn in the replay at Anfield with goals from Houghton, Rush & Staunton.
