When we arrived in Manila, we had to catch a bus from the international terminal to the domestic terminal. Here is how the traffic looked that Monday morning.

We drove from Hagnaya to Compostela. We headed out of Hagnaya on the main highway that goes down the eastern side of Cebu province. We get behind a crazy bus and end up on a windy road as it comes out of the mountains.
I am driving in to work via I-70 heading into downtown Kansas City. It is about 06:00. I pass through an overpass that frames the downtown pretty well. I call it the eastern gateway.
Lawrence, Kansas 4/20/05
I went railfanning at three places on this day. I started on the east end at a place I call Levee Junction, then I got one at "Don Ball Curve" and last at a place I call Pines Junction.
After spending time in Washington we get to go back to New York on the Acela -- which is a compensation for our Florida part of our journey being cut off by a hurricane. We then spend a day and a half in New York taking in as many sites as we can before heading home. Included in this segment is a montage of some of the still pictures we took.

On our third day, we drove up the east side of Cebu Province to Hagnaya, to catch the ferry to Bantayan Island.
A Northbound BNSF Coal train waits in the hole for a green signal. Then after it takes off, another coal train with cars from La Cygne power plant takes its place and waits for a lowly KCS manifest. The manifest comes along and does a roll by inspection, then the BNSF train gets the highball and takes off northbound.
My friend John Ambrose took a western trip with his family. He, being a railfan, often stopped at various railroading hotspots along the way and shot video. In this video, he and his family are staying in Cut Bank Montana, which sees a lot of traffic on the former Great Northern mainline, which at the time of the video was part of the Burlington Northern Railroad.
The band "Biteboy" came up from Orlando Florida to have a special concert close to the Phelps compound. boB Cutler arranged the protest and did most of the groundwork to make it happen. This video is not edited, and is just spliced to fit YouTube.

Madridejos is the small town at northernmost tip of Bantayan Island, and therefore at the northernmost point of Cebu Province. We drove through town on our way to Suyens aunt's house to get some crabs at the small fishing village to take with us on our picnick later.
I'm driving in downtown Lawrence. They are doing some sort of deconstruction downtown, but all the POSCos's are gone so I guess it's a good time to do it. Waukarusa Fest is going on so downtown is kinda empty in this late hot afternoon.

We went to get some fresh crab at the fishing village in Madridejos. Mmmmm, Crabbb......
I shoot at a different location this time. I'm at the end of the new flyover just built by the Kansas City Terminal in Western Independence. I'm shooting at dusk, but there is lots of traffic moving of all sorts. Towards the end of the video you see a person was walking around under the overpass on the tracks, then the rail police show up to check him out.
My wife and I were sort of on our honeymoon trip to Chicago. On the way I decided to take the back way and we took our lunch at the Railfan park in Rochelle, Illinois. You can see double crossings of the BNSF and the UP. I got a pic too of the Rochelle Railfan Cam hosted by Trains magazine. Notice the UP business train I caught.
