You've probably noticed from looking around this site, an emphasis on the Ukulele Festival put on each year by Roy Sakuma. He has been teaching island kids and adults to play Hawaii's unique little instrument for three generations.
In this story his dedication to Hawaii's culture is given deserved recognition when the state's governor declares official Roy Sakuma Day.
