From the Back Street Crawler album, I just put this together quickly to give you a chance to hear this amazing track Koss wrote after his near death experience. Hence the title "Time Away" because of his stay in hospital. From memory Simon Kirke is on drums.

Recorded in early 1976 and included on the album "Second Street" by Back Street Crawler (later Crawler). This track features the signature vibrato of ex-Free (All Right Now) guitarist Paul Kossoff. Hope it brings back old memories, or is a new discovery.
Enjoy..........

This is a track I found on a music cassette, part of a double album of Backstreet Crawler & PaulKossoff. He founded this group after the breaking-up of the FREE in '75.On this particular track you'll hear Paul Rodgers on vocals...it's like FREE is alive again.I'm sorry I don't know the title of the track or from which album it comes. There were 15 tracks on the cassette!!Just listen to the guitar...

paul kossoff could put more emotion into a single note than most other players of his generation could manage in an entire solo. my fav youtube comment is from free's "Mr.Big" live at the isle of wight, where one guy asks "does NASSA know about free?, because kossoff surely sent those notes into orbit"... from free's self titled 2nd album and also featured on an island records sampler. RIP Paul.

This is a very rare clip released Circa 1969 of Free performing All Right Now (live). Released in Australia in B&W. My favourite clip by this band and highlights Paul Kossoff's signature vibrato. Best lead ever done by Kossoff!

Free live in Japan in 1972. Quality is rather poor but miracle this has survived. Wonderful version demonstrating Paul Rodgers amazing vocal range. Unfortunately less Paul Kossoff on this tour because of ill health and Andy Frazer no longer with the band. With Rabbit on organ and Tetsu on base.
