It has been a while since I posted anything 40h-related. Here is a quick video of my step sequencer Max app sending data to a Doepfer MCV24, which is controlling eight band pass filters on a Doepfer vocoder. Slew limited.
Tip of the hat to Dan Deacon, who is 100% pure awesome.

just a test of OSC (Open Sound Control) implemented in Lucifer for "near-direct" communication with the monome.
Lucifer is a $99 VST/AU Plugin for OSX/Windows which I'm always working on (www.devine-machine. com).
Lucifer is generating the sound in this video, recieving push events from the monome, and driving the monome's LED array.

Condensed 45 minute improv jam. No pre-recorded or pre-sequenced material. Completely winging it...Audio recorded by on-camera mic...not the best quality.

John Horton Conway's "Game of Life" on the monome 40h, mapped to MIDI notes sent to Ableton Live, and magnified for the monome two fifty six, which really isn't making use of all its pretty buttons.

A demonstration of using the 40h as a simple alternate controller. The beauty of the 40h is it can be anything you want it to be - this is just one example.
