Here is the other video of Jaco from the Live Under the Sky concert in 1984 (with the Gil Evans Orchestra). The music is of course amazing, but it's a little depressing to see Jaco play in the condition he was in. I'm sharing this video to all you Jaco fans out there.

The classic by the late great Jaco Pastorious. As over played as it is I love this piece. I usually play my own arrangment of it on steel acoustic (coming soon!) but I did this for an audition video that wanted electric bass. Enjoy!

Based on a scientific theory of anonymity, the human brain responds to color by creating various light patterns. It is proven that watching colors in shades of red are more apparant to the optical nerves, and that soothing music helps with the brain functions.
The selected work is "Portrait of Tracy" by Jaco Pastorious.
This short solo is based on "Black Bird" by Paul McCartney, arranged for 4 string bass by Jaco Pastorious, I added some of my own bits and arranged it for tenor 6 string bass.
