In this episode of OVRDRVN.COM Peter does a PLAY test on a Phil Jones Bass Suitcase bass combo amp. The DI'd signal from the amp is in the LEFT speaker and the room mic sound is in the RIGHT speaker (best sound is with a good set of headphones).
enjoy!

Having spent a week using PJB gear at NAMM, I am biased, but I hope this play around with my P and J basses through the PJB Bass Buddy helps show how cool this thing is. As you will see I set up some "extreme" EQ settings (those sliders have 18db cut/boost)and I think it still sounded great!
And plugged into a bass cab it's the best practise amp I ever heard, too!

Oh yes....2.5W into 16ohm (1x18 + 1x12) - I had to do it, and it sounds awesome! My 4 y.o princess agrees! Crappy webcam mic doesn't do it justice - LOL - wired at 4ohms, it was rattling the windows!

No EQ on each instrument at first, then add some 50Hz :) Distortion is on PC input. Using Behringer C1 and MIC100 tube pre. Drums and wah from Zoom B2.1u.
Shows high action on this p-bass and the foam mute squashed under the bridge plate.

BTHD=Blow The House Down
Performed at Showstoppers in Orlando, Florida's Epcot Center and I might also add that the Highland Starliters won the Grand Championship Female Show Choir at this competition!!!
Testing the incredibly inexpensive Behringer C1 mic and MIC100 tube preamp - the mic is spec'd to 40Hz but it picks up the B-string quite nicely :) this PJB Suitcase rig is just amazing....I just hung the mic over the amp this time but I'll set it up with a mic stand eventually and see what I can get out of the C1. I assume youtube is still squashing the audio - I'm still hoping it's temporary...
