En la mañana del miércoles 25 cohetes kasam lanzados por palestinos desde Gaza cayeron sobre Sderot y los poblados aledaños. Esto se suma a los 40 lanzados durante el martes. Según las organizaciones armadas palestinas es en respuesta a las operaciones de Tzáhal en Gaza y a que un comandante de la Jihad en Jenín fue abatido por tropas israelíes.
