Noah a year or two ago in his room, "stimming" or coming down from sensory overload. He used to make a lot of this sound.....for a long time.....it was like a meditative "om" to him. He would also repeatedly move objects close to the corners of his eyes and move it slow and deliberately back and forth over and over again. I called this "scoping". This is a sampling of that behavior.

This is a video of my son stimming. He has autism and does this everyday, sometimes for hours. We try many different things to get him to come out of it but he gets very irritated and refuses anything, especially after school.

This is my grandson, Jeremy, stimming to a new light toy that he got for his 4th birthday. He doesnt usually stim this much unless he gets something that really turns him on. You can really tell that he likes his now toy! This is typical autism behavior.
This is Jonathan stimming, a repetitive behavior he does often and can repeat the same phrases or songs over and over for hours and not get bored. The hitting himself is a regular stim does so hard at times he leaves welts on his chest sometimes.
This is a video of Jonathan when he was at firework show in Lake Havasu at age 5, about the age diagnosed. He has no interest in the fireworks, was in his own world and at one point only copied someone saying "WOW" then continued to stim. Excuse the language at the end barely heard was a bystander that says the "S" word.
