Ummm, I know I'm going out on a limb here, but what if aliens, instead of sending prime numbers like we do, sent out PI? Would we recognize it? I wonder if S.E.T.I. has ever recieved a transmission like this. If so, would they even know what is was?
The formula for this one is:
freq = 1000 + (Mid(strPi, i, 1) * 100) hertz played at 10 millisecond intervals
Lower Pitch = Stronger Quake
5.5 and above = Big Red (deep tones)
4.5 to 5.4 = White (high beeps)
4.4 and below = Red (no sound)
Notice how active the beginning of July is! Could it be from all the fireworks? haha
Quakes 1973 to date that were 6.5 magnitude or greater. Each group has a different sound and each magnitude has its own pitch. Stronger quakes have higher pitches.
Key:
White - 7.0 and above (longer tones)
Yellow - 6.5 to 6.9 (shorter tones)
Map of all recorded earthquakes from 1/1/2003 to 5/20/2008 that were magnitude 4.5 or greater.
Key:
Q1 - white dots (mag 4.5 - 4.9)
Q2 - blue dots (mag 5.0 - 6.4)
Q3 - yellow/red dots (mag 6.5 and up)
My analysis of this video... Notice how the number of quakes that are greater than 5.0 increases after 4/1/2008 (almost at a double rate). Is this a sign of things to come???
Year to date earthquakes. Sorry, no sound! I know that sucks but my screen capture app can't keep up. :( I hope to fix soon (hopefully I'll rewrite in c#)...
The tree was in the way but it turned out ok. All the boring frames (black or sucky lightning) have been removed. The length (time-span) of the original video was 17 minutes.
Looked to me as though it hit the electrical pole. Those particular lines are very high voltage transmission lines. Notice also how the lightning does a loop de loop. The electrical discharge even made it to my camera (that short sound you hear will hear).
You can Google "Paper Dragon Illusion" to find out how to make one of your own.
Song: Living Proof recorded about 12 years ago on my pc with some buddies using Cakewalk. MIDI drums and bass, the rest is real...
This aurora time lapse(northern lights) was filmed on the night of 5/15/2005 from KY. It would be longer, but my batts died from taking so many long-exposure snapshots (each frame is 10 second exposure).
3D animation of the devistating quake and subsequent aftershocks.
Key
Q1 - white dots (mag 1.0 to 4.9)
Q2 - blue dots (mag 5.0 to 5.9)
Q3 - red dots (mag 6.0 and greater)
Was lucky to catch this huge lightning bolt! Captured 5/13/2005 (Friday the 13th!) This entire sequence was made from only 3 or 4 frames of data using the 'strobe' feature of Pinnacle Studio 8 and then slowing it down with Windows Movie Maker.
Just a bunch of really old clips I made of some 3d models and stuff I stuck together. There is really no plot to any of it.
And, yes, I know there is no sound in space, but this is ficticious anyway...

This is a response to sxephil's video about windmills in New York City
FYI...Quickly Photoshopped some images.

I was skeptical about this feeder's claim - "Attracts flocks of finches".

Sorry about the camera shakes! I was trying to swat bugs and hold the camera at the same time.
Made this time-lapse on 2/5/2008 from KY. Also, the song is "Last Dance" by Me. Please vote and/or comment. This is my first upload to YouTube. More stuff to come soon...
Just happened to notice these 3 insects in very close proximity to each other. It looked like they might've sensed each other's presence, cause they are all just sitting there. The "video" quality is crummy because it is night and I was using a mini-mag led flashlight. The "still" pictures look good though.
