In May 2001, there was a plague of black beetles through west Texas. Buildings, roads and lights were covered. Towns smelled of squashed beetle (a nasty sweet scent). I filmed these black ground beetles while out storm chasing. Not for the sqeamish! This could give you nightmares!
Dust mites filmed at a meeting display by Mission: Allergy Inc. They (their bodies and especially their droppings) are a significant indoor allergen and are commonly found in pillows, mattresses and carpeting. For more information on dust mites and allergen control:

On May 21, 2007, I observed two gustnadoes in Hutchinson County, Texas along with blowing dust. Not a bad storm chase considering weak mid level winds.
Tornado near Raymond, Kansas. I chased the storm from near Pratt, KS. The storm produced a brief dust whirl just north of Pratt. This was a fun Saturday storm chase. For more tornado footage, see harkphoto.com
