"Welcome to the new dark ages" - Antisect live.
A clip from the Animal Rights gig 30th March 1987. Actually this was going to be a gig for the Norwich Venue Campaign, but the animal rights society at the uni managed to get the venue, so they got the gig! This was in the long gone and much missed UEA barn, now replaced by houses sadly. Also played were Atavistic and Deviated Instinct.
The Disrupters music video from 1988. A song about the police trashing of the "Peace Convoy" of travellers in 1985 as they made their way to Stonehenge.
That Hobnailed Cockroach were a psychedelic rock band from Norwich around 1990-91. This gig was played at the Thetford youth club, the sound is rough but hey...

This is froma gig at a Norwich pub in November 2007.
One of the more surreal gigs in my archive. Local band Passchendaele playing live in Anglia Sqaure, Norwich, in 1990. The was the first and last such gig which had been promoted by a music shop, but all the biddies complained about the noise. Any similarity to the Cure is probably intended.
Streetlife, a local Norwich band playing live in 1986 at the old K block entertainment centre at the old university residences on Fifers Lane - otherwise known as "Horsham" - in Norwich, now a housing estate.
Recorded 11th October 1086
The closing act of the 1986 Earlham Park Rainbow fair in Norwich, the last of the "Green fairs held in the park. Benjamin Zephaniah jamming with The Liberators. This is "Nelson Mandela must be free" - this was some three years before the fall of apartheid in South Africa.
This set was original recorded for a video of the fair.
