Members of the Bergenfield Fire Department arrive at Miller and Washington Ave. for a garbage truck fire. Turned out that some plastic bags that were touching the exhaust caught fire between the hopper and the cab of the truck.
The Bergenfield Fire Department was dispatched to the dead end of Levitt Avenue for a garbage truck on fire. Upon arrival, units found light smoke coming from the hopper of the borough truck. Engine 744 deployed a booster line and members pulled the garbage from the hopper to wet down any smoldering trash. Units were cleared in 25 minutes.
Bergenfield's Prospect Fire Company, Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and Bergenfield Police Department respond to a MVC with one car on its roof with a female still inside the vehicle.

Bergenfield's Alert Fire Company #1's Truck 742 arriving on Liberty Rd. It was the first piece of apparatus to arrive after a Prospect Fire Company still was upgraded to a general for a gas leak with evacuations.
Bergenfield's Rescue 746 responding out of Prospect Fire Company #1 on Clinton Ave. The still alarm for a strange odor would be upgraded to a general alarm bringing the rest of the BFD to the scene.

Bergenfield's Engine 745 responding from their quarters on Clinton Ave to a still alarm for a strange odor on 2/3/08. This would later be upgraded to a general for a gas leak and evacuations.
Bergenfield Fire Department's Prospect company responds with Rescue 746 as a F.A.S.T. Team to the Borough of New Milford for a working house fire. The fire was an exterior fire with minor extension.
