Viking Metal has come over the land! Impressively combining powerful choruses and energetic guitar work with the traditional folk melodies of their ancestors, TYR has composed a collection of hymns bound to
shake the foundations of Midgard. TYR's latest CD "Land" is undoubtedly
an album that will assure their entry into Valhalla and "Sinklars Visa" is a video worth experiencing!
Scene greats such as Kamelot and Sonata Arctica may be forced to step aside and make way for Symphonic Melodic Metal heroes SERENITY and their latest release "Fallen Sanctuary".
The album "Eric the Red" bases almost every song on Faroese or Norwegian lore, and is revetted in the garb of the Folk Metal genre. Its approach unmistakenly creates a very true Viking Metal, as the video to "Regin Smiður" (Regin, the Blacksmith) proves.
Following their previous two album chartbreakers, "Werk 80" and "Gemini", ATROCITY returned with an epic conceptual release entitled "Atlantis". ATROCITY, an established giant in the German rock and metal scene, now presents bombastic ear and eye candy with this video to "Cold Black Days".
One more video from the clansmen KORPIKLAANI in support of "Tales Along This Road". The kings of Finnish Humppa Folk Metal brighten our day with a video version of "Happy Little Boozer".
Leaves' Eyes thank their fans for the overwhelming success and support shown to them on the first European part of their worldwide "Vinland Saga" Tour with this latest video.
TYR's video "Hail to the Hammer" was shot on the Faroe Islands. While the Western winds ravage the cliffs, they still rise steeply from the sea to the sky. The air shots are taken from an Atlantic Airways helicopter over Tindholm and Trælanípu (legend has it, that from these cliffs were thrown slaves, no longer of use to their masters).
World history set to music, seasoned with legends, love and passion -- no less could be said about the second Leaves' Eyes album Vinland Saga and more importantly, about the band's second video appearance.
