Susan Anton's debut single (Label: Columbia) from 1978 was a beautiful dramatic ballad. "Listen To My Smile" was not a hit but nevertheless a beautiful showcase for her powerful voice. She was and is very underrated. Go check her out:

From the soundtrack to the disco trash classic "Thank God It's Friday" (1978, starring Donna Summer) comes this dynamic piece of music. Thelmas powerful pipes stand out. Sadly the song was not a hit.
