heavy drums by Vladimir Vasilkov hooked me up in the mid 80s when i saw this movie on a TV. This track is still unrealeased on vinyl, great example of the Soviet Jazz-Funk from the early 70s !!! Big up to Mr.Vasilkov and his musicians
This is a Cult movie for those who were born in the 70s in USSR. It was a very first breakdance footage i've ever seen in my life in the late 80s. Along with H.Hancock "Rock It" as a main movie theme, it was a total killer hit for all of us on the block. Great movie directed by Karen Shaknazarov
Original Soundtrack Composed by A.Gradsky, but this heavy funk instrumental theme performed by Ensemble "Melodia" (lead. by George Garanian) featuring State Symphony Orchestra of USSR Cinematography.
Great movie! Directed by Igor Petrov and Andrei Mikhalkov-Konchalovs ky
Second theme from an old soviet teenage flick. Fake live as you can see, but listen to the music. It's a drummer Vladimir Vasilkov and his boys. Unreleased material from USSR, good done!
My new discovery :) The vivid scenes of Moscow 60's intellectuals life are portrayed with a slight irony and melancholy. This is a love story directed by Marlen Khutsiev and starring Evgeniia Uralova, Aleksandr Beliavskii ... You can read more about it - http://www.rusfilm.p itt.edu/2001/july.ht ml
Killer soundtrack somposed by E.Gevorgian (USSR)
If you like blaxploitation/kung- fu flicks you'll like this movie. It was a big budget Soviet Blockbuster in 1979 ! Nice one !
just look at this private archive material from 2004! Cheers Keb, nice lesson for the youngsters (classic northern soul dance spin).
This club is not exist anymore, but check my latest video if you wanna know more about funk scene in st.petersburg
