Judy Mowatt (born in 1952) is a Jamaican singer.
She joined a singing trio called The Gaylettes in 1967. When the group split she continued as a solo act. She and Rita Marley first sang together when Marcia Griffiths needed some harmony vocals on a song she was recording at Studio One with Bob Andy... The trio settled on the name the I-Threes.
With his smooth, crooning, tenor vocals, up-tempo arrangements, and spiritually uplifting themes, Everton Blender (born Everton Dennis Williams) is one of the top performers of Jamaica's dancehall tradition. In addition to receiving the prestigious Chicago Martins International award, Blender received South Florida Reggae/Soca awards as "most improved entertainer" in 1996 and 1997.
One of Jamaica's most distinguished singers, as a member of Black Uhuru Michael Rose was one of the foundation stones of the roots movement, before launching a successful career in the modern dancehalls. His work with Uhuru helped bring the group a Grammy, while his distinctive vocals launched an entire musical style - the Waterhouse sound.
