A bunch of people have been asking me what Goa Trance is lately. It's difficult to explain sound, so I thought this was necessary. The one thing that should be noted is that Goa is NOT 'Techno'. The song is 'Jungle Storm' by Talamasca.
I've decided to make one of these every few days. I might add something different in terms of the display as time progresses. So here's another Goa Trance track. It's a bit darker than the previous ones. The track is 'Project Genesis' by MFG.
Yup, I've decided to make another one of these. As before, this is an example of one of the many subgenres of electronic music: Goa Trance. The track is 'Mohamour' by Jaļa.
Track: 'The Furnace' by Total Eclipse
This track has been my favorite for quite some time now. Total Eclipse: straight from France! Old as can be!
Anywho, I've got a question for all of you. When were you first introduced to Goa? I was first introduced at age 17 with the track 'Animals' by Cydonia (I highly recommend that track, by the way).
Track: 'Utopian Society' by Merr0w
Fun Fact: Essentially, Trance music was pop culture's answer to the Goa Trance music scene on the beaches of Goa where the traveller's music scene has been famous since the time of the Beatles.
Track: 'Artificial Intelligence' by Cosmo Tech
Phew. It's been a while since my last upload, but here's a quick fact.
Fun fact: Much like Goa tracks, Psy tracks tend to reach lengths of 8-10 minutes.
Track: 'Harmonic Convergence' by Dimension 5
I'd like to thank all of the subscribers and fans of the 'This is Goa Trance' series. Your comments are much appreciated!
FUN FACT: Due to a resurgence of interest in Goa Trance, Dimension 5's first album, Transdimensional, was remastered and reissued by Suntrip Records of Belgium in 2007 -- ten years from it's original release.
Track: 'Embryo' by Lost Buddha
It's been a while, so I decided to set you guys up with a very, VERY spectacular track. What we've got here is Lost Buddha.
FUN FACT: Filipe Santos (Lost Buddha) is working on two projects as of right now: 'Amithaba Buddha' (classic Goa) and 'Pandemonium!' (dark, twisted Goa). Amithaba Buddha refers to the Buddha of Infinite Light.
I've been on hiatus for long enough! Here's vol.20!
Track: 'A Mad Scientists Night' by Pandemonium!
Release date: May 29, 2007 (Thanks Tsahovole!)
Expect more from Amithaba Buddha/Lost Buddha/Pandemonium!< br />
