Well, the version of this tune with TJ and AJ in Memphis has become the most popular/viewed video of mine on youtube, even though it cuts off after 3 minutes. Here is the full song with just me and TJ on acoustic guitars. Hope ya'll like it.
I realize this will be the 3rd version of this tune I'm putting up, but it's the only complete version. Plus, it's a great song, so it deserves multiple videos. Just me and TJ on the couch at my Nashville apt.
Bruce is one of my biggest influences, and this is my favorite song of his to play. We're actually taking the arrangement from The Band's cover of this tune, and then I throw in "Badlands" for the hell of it. That's TJ capoing on the 7th fret and me on the 2nd fret.
Another U2 favorite of mine. I borrowed some inspiration from Warren Haynes a bit for the arrangement. The "Walk On" part is taken from their version on the 9/11 tribute
Of course this is a Leadbelly song, but I think most of my generation heard it first on Nirvana's Unplugged. It's still hauntingly brilliant to this day.
