His Holiness the 101st Gaden Tripa Lungrik Namgyal Rinpoche is the supreme head of the Gelug lineage. The major monasteries - Gaden, Drepung and Sera, as well as the famous Tantric colleges of Gyuto and Gyumed, all belong to the school of Gelug. His status is the same as Lama Tsongkhapa on earth.
