I couldn't be happier for the 1st live rap video I post to be none other than DEVIN THE DUDE!!! He performed w/ the Odd Squad at the Havana Latin Bar & Grill (used to be called "Bongos") in Houston on December 11. This clip is him doing the title track from his album To tha X-treme.... go get it!!! DEVIN NEVER MADE A BAD ALBUM!!!
Here's a clip from Austin group BLAST BEAT at the SOUTHMORE HOUSE (yes its from the same BLJ nite). This "band" has two members of the group WILDERNEZZ so if you saw the clip i posted of them then you know what to expect... craziness! This is their complete set, which clocks in at under five minutes.
A FAIL ASSOCIATION from Ft.Worth played live at the Station Museum in Houston during the Hermann Nitsch tribute performances, this is the complete set. He also runs the label DADA DRUMMING.
Here's a cool trombone set by DAVE DOVE at SUPER HAPPY FUN LAND. He usually plays w/ other people so this solo set is a little different. This was part of the series of improvised music shows that Dave booked w/ Deep Listening Foundation.
In late January DISCORDIAN POPES did an epic drone set that lasted 4 hours! Who else besides SUPER HAPPY FUN LAND would host such a thing? The clip doesn't really do it justice but still sounds great... They had a video projection running for most of it, I have clips of that too (may post them later).

ORGAN FAILURE is the house band of the great SUPER HAPPY FUN LAND venue in Houston. Its sort of hard to describe the kind of music they do, they say "Educational rock songs about internal disorders and other important matters". This particular clip is especially recommended if you wanna know what happens when the worms get ahold of you.
HORRIBLE NOISE is an annual series of weird music shows in Houston. This year @ the SOUTHMORE HOUSE was the 6th go round! MUZAK JOHN was part of the final show of the series. As you can see he was in the Halloween spirit for the occasion. Check out his trademark "keyboard work" as he serenades you from behind his mask.
