"There are more important things going on inside of you than you realize," Maharaji says. "When you begin to know yourself, you begin understand the stage on which truly a dance of life is taking place. A dance that is beautiful. A dance that is all about you."
"Peace begins with our understanding of what we have been given," says Maharaji. "Why is this important? Because the entire world is telling us about things that we do not have. Nobody is pointing out to us what we do have. What we have been given is this life, is this existence. And this existence needs to mean something."
Maharaji, as Prem Rawat is widely known, talks about understanding the difference between juggling daily activities and the need of the heart to feel fulfilled. "Living is a celebration," he says, "And you need to thrive every single day that has been provided to you."
Maharaji, as Prem Rawat is widely known, talks about a fundamental need for peace that is innate to everyone. In a busy world where every minute counts, he says, of all the possibilities that exist, there is also the possibility for each person to be content.
Maharaji talks about a peace that begins with each person, and about the possibility of making peace a reality: "What do you want in the history books of tomorrow?" he says. "Do you want people to read about the existence of peace? Or do you want another repeated chapter of war?"
Maharaji, as Prem Rawat is widely known, talks about how, while often the importance of a day is based upon failures or successes during that day, the value of existence is forgotten. The greatest value in existence, the greatest blessing, he says, is the breath.
Prem Rawat talks about the difference between philosophies and a reality that each human being wants to know and is searching for: "A nature of a human being is to try to find. Always, always. Trying to find a comfort...a joy...a peace. A peace, yet undefined."
Maharaji, as Prem Rawat is also known, speaks about the freedom every person has within them?the freedom to feel joy and clarity that lies in the depths of a human being no matter what is happening.
Maharaji talks about the demands in life and how much effort it takes to make others happy, and emphasizes how important it is to find contentment and peace, as well. Now is the time to be fulfilled, he says; "This is your time to be happy."
Maharaji, as Prem Rawat is widely known, talks about every human being's aspiration for peace, love, truth. No matter what name we call it, there is a basic need to quench that thirst.
Maharaji talks about the importance of each person seeing what they have been given, based on their own individual experience, and fulfilling their truest thirst in life. "How much of what you perceive is because you have experienced it," he asks, "and how much of what you perceive is looking at this world through somebody else's eyes?"
Maharaji speaks about the possibility for each person to have peace in their life. "People of this world are the bricks, are the mortar ... of this structure," he says. And if we at least try to see the possibility of how peace can happen, he says, "maybe?at least hope indicates?there will be peace on this earth."
Maharaji, as Prem Rawat is widely known, talks about the value of our existence and about being conscious. The simplest of wishes is to be happy, he says, and fulfillment begins by being conscious of the gift of life we have been given.
Maharaji talks about two kinds of peace: one is a peace based on a formula of what a person should and should not have in life; the other is a peace that is experienced. "If you want real peace," he says, "it has to be felt?not once, but every day of your life."
Maharaji talks about making our thirst for peace a priority in our lives so that the rains of understanding can come, bringing the possibility of real happiness.
Maharaji is also known as Prem Rawat.

Prem Rawat talks about the miracle of existence. "Look around you as the sun rises, and...as the sun sets," he says. "Look at you as the time envelops you and you pass into that time. Look at you. You are a world unto yourself."
"Personal peace," Maharaji says, "is not a luxury, but a fundamental necessity for each individual." Speaking about wisdom, he adds, "Listening to the voice that calls out again and again to feel peace within is true wisdom."
Prem Rawat quotes a couplet from a 14th century Indian poet, "That there is a drop in the ocean, everyone knows. But that there is an ocean in the drop, only a few understand." "You are the drop," he says, "and there is an ocean inside of you that you can know."
Maharaji, as Prem Rawat is widely known, talks about the uniqueness of every human being, the incredible gift that it is to be alive, and the understanding that everything a person could ever want, they already have.
