This is the closest I ever came to a "Celtic" composition. It started off as an experiment with counterpoint, but something tribal seems to have taken over. The tuning is DADGDE and I don't use my harmonic capo on this one.
Get your own Harmonic Capo(tm) at http://www.weaseltra p.com ! This tune reminded me of a brief rainstorm, starting and ending with a few drops, but with a downpour inbetween. Fans of minimalism will recognize the Steve Reich and Philip Glass influences. The tuning is CGdgde, with my Harmonic Capo applied to the "dgde" strings. The piece looks simple, but the rhythyms can be very tricky.
Get your own Harmonic Capo(tm) at http://www.weaseltra p.com ! This tune is dedicated to Michael Hedges, who was a huge inspiration to me. I was very fortunate to meet Michael once and play for him. IDIBITS was the first tune I composed after that meeting. The tuning is fairly radical, AadEaE. (My harmonic capo is applied on the "lowercase" strings.)
Get your own Harmonic Capo(tm) at http://www.weaseltra p.com ! There's nothing flashy about this tune, but it's a sentimental favorite of mine. The tuning is CGdgde, with the Hamonic Capo applied on the "dgde" strings. You can find out more about the Harmonic Capo at my website.
Get your own Harmonic Capo(tm) at http://www.weaseltra p.com ! Another demo for my Harmonic Capo. This tune is great fun to play. The tuning is AAdeae, with my Harmonic Capo applied to the four higher strings. Listen for the high "eae" harmonic chord that keeps popping up like a jumping frog. This version of the video was remastered for better audio sync than the original.

This is my signature tune, an absolutely outrageous example of what the Harmonic Capo(tm) can do. If this one doesn't show the capo's potential, I don't know what would.
It's also incredibly fun to play!

People have been asking when I'm going to release something new. This tune was composed about two days ago and it's still a bit rough but I think this one will probably be on the next CD. The effect of the Harmonic Capo is fairly subtle in this one, but I couldn't play it without it. Enjoy.
A new performance of an old favorite. The Harmonic Capo(tm) has a subtle effect in this one. Find out more about the Harmonic Capo(tm) at http://www.weaseltra p.com
This tune only uses the Harmonic Capo on the two middle strings, but it still makes a big difference. Even with the capo, I can't always reach the notes I need, so I end up doing something else weird... see if you can spot it.

I had the frets replaced on this guitar a few years ago and I gave the luthier a hard time about how I wanted the action set. I was being very picky. At one point, he said, "Oh, c'mon! How much of the neck do you really use?" I said, "All of it."
I don't think he believed me.
