Dozens of city workers remained at site of a landslide Thursday morning, monitoring the area for signs of fresh slippage and keeping evacuated residents from returning home.
(Original script from December 14, 1961)
A tragic happening Thursday in the plush La Jolla Muirlands area. An earth slide sent an unoccupied $35,000 home crashing down Rose Canyon. The slide sent tons of wet mud and boulders tumbling down on top of seven other unfinished houses.
